It was in 195 when the School of Nursing became an independent college in the university after the establishment of a baccalaureate program in the 1950s. The school offers courses in Nursing and Practical Nursing.

Chamberlain college of Nursing, Columbus Campus

With a history of about 120 years, the Chamberlain college of Nursing offers flexible nursing programs which the prospective students are at liberty to study whether online or onsite. The undergraduate programs are BSN, ADN along with 2 bridge programs: LPN to RN and an online RN to BSN degree completion whereas on the graduate level, students can choose online MSN degree.

Cleveland State University

For the Master of Science in Nursing curriculum, it is also accredited by the CCNE. The academy is a proud member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and the Council of Baccalaureate and Higher Degree Programs.

The Fortis college is actually a nationwide chain of career colleges, and has 5 campuses in Ohio: In CenterVille, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cuyahoga Falls and Ravenna and. The Cincinnati and Ravenna colleges were formerly part of the Bohecker College chain, and now operate under both names – Bohecker and Fortis. Practical Nursing programs are offered in all campuses, while a program for an Associate of Nursing Degree program exists only in the first 4. Other nursing-related programs are offered in the Fortis Campuses, such as Medical Assistant, Health Information Technology and Medical Administrative Assistant.

Malone University humbly claims that given their curriculum, a BSN degree holder will be able to have an accredited MSN degree in two years. Specifically, the Family Nurse Practitioner and the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health Nursing are offered. Certification examinations are advised.

Marion Technical College

The 2-years associates degree program offered at the MTC is approved and accredited by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing – students are prepared in such a synchronized way that they can excel as a registered nurse (RN). An LPN-to-RN program is also offered, as well as other medical-related courses as medical assisting, and also certification programs for Health Care Management and Nurse Aide. RN to BSN and RN to MSN programs are also offered in collaboration with OSUM – the Ohio State University at Marion.

The University of Toledo College of Nursing

The University of Toledo offers in its Health Science campus programs for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees in Nursing as well as a bridge RN to BSN program for registered nurses.
